Oh we are so glad you asked! After spending 24 years in the industry frustrated with the lack of basic technology to ensure effective, safe and healthy cleansing for clients, Australia's Skin Nerd and TCC Founder, Michelle Doolan, developed The Cleansing Cloth:
A simple yet effective tool to use daily with your very own skincare products to ensure safe and effective cleansing.
Unlike other wipes, reusable pads, towels, sponges, face clothes, and skin care tools, The Cleansing Cloth is made out of a special PVA fabric that is more effective and better for your skin-- it removes make-up and impurities while protecting your unique micro-biome.
It's magically tough on grime but soft on sensitive skin!

WHAT IS THE CLEANSING CLOTH MADE OUT OF?
The Cleansing Cloth is made from PVA which is a high-tech, synthetic, biodegradable material that is lint free and resists mould & mildew better than a regular sponge or towel. It also absorbs water quickly and has fast & effective drying capabilities for quick & effective cleansing.
PVA is biodegradable and we are working on making our packaging sustainable, too!
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CLEANSING CLOTH AND OTHER PRODUCTS LIKE MUSLIN CLOTHS, REUSABLE WIPES OR FACE CLOTHES?
The Cleansing Cloth is made out of high-tech, synthetic material that is lint free and resists mould & mildew better than a regular sponge or towel. The Cleansing Cloth also absorbs water quickly and has fast & effective drying capabilities for quick & effective cleansing.
It's better for the removal of product from the surface of your skin whilst also protecting the micro biome which is the mini rainforest of our skins surface. This makes its perfect for all skin types including sensitive skin or skin conditions like rosacea.
HOW DO I USE MY CLEANSING CLOTH?
Apply cleanser and massage to loosen dirt, make-up, and impurities for 30-60 seconds. Wet cloth and ring to remove the excess water. Wipe, rinse away, and repeat twice daily Am & PM! If wearing long lasting or colour stay foundations consider cleansing twice to ensure your cleanser reaches your skin and doesn’t just act as a makeup remover.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY CLEANSING CLOTH?
Rinse immediately after use to remove all product including cleanser and makeup. It may require a small amount of body wash to remove heavier makeup and cleansing residue. Gentle scrub and rinse. Allow to dry in a clean and sanitary space. We suggest hanging over your shower screen or somewhere that where it can lay flat.
Weekly place the cloth in a protective or gentle wash bag and wash with your bathroom towelling. Hang to dry either outside in fresh air and sunshine or replace in your bathroom (reminder if outside it will dry very stiff - add water and it will rehydrate)
HOW LONG DOES THE CLEANSING CLOTH LAST? WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE IT?
Most Cleansing Cloths will last 3-4 months before a new one is required.
All Cleansing Cloths have a used by date. Small micro organisms will begin to grow within the fibre as it ages.
If you start seeing miniature discolouration occur that can not be cleaned away with machine washing its time for a new one.
HOW DO YOU CLEANSE CORRECTLY?
With a CLEANSING CLOTH! Using your choice of Cleanser (Michelle will often recommend a cream as her preferred medium) apply and massage into the skin for minimum 30 seconds. This allows better penetration of all the goodness within your cleansing ingredients to work. Removal is key!
Many splash remove their cleanser either over the sink, or in the shower, but this equals ineffective cleansing as most of the debris is still lying on the skin. Makeup does not completely remove and sometimes your cleansing ingredients remain. These ingredients begin to break down the skin causing PH unbalance, redness, tightness and fine flaking just to name a few.
Here enters the hero...The Cleansing Cloth! with a quick wipe as you would a flannel or face washer, your Cleansing Cloth will remove all residual makeup if any, cleanser and any skin debris that has been loosened, providing the perfect and effective cleanse all whilst being gentle and nurturing.

WHAT'S YOUR RETURN POLICY?
Prior to your postal return please email info@thecleansingcloth.com.au with your order number #___ as your subject heading and explain your reason for return.
To return your product, you should mail your product to: 51 Thomson Street, Belmont, VICTORIA 3216
You the (purchaser) will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item due to change of mind circumstances. Any fault found within your purchase will entitle you to a full refund on goods and shipping if required covered. Shipping costs are non-refundable in the case of "change of mind". If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
